As was announced in our service yesterday, we have the wonderful privilege to praise God for His faithful work in the Congo through the EFCA over the past century! This will be a major focus for us as a church throughout the summer and, at this starting point, I invite you to spend time with a few resources that will encourage and challenge you as we together look at what the Lord will do in the Congo, around the world, and in our own neighborhood in coming years…
- In case you weren’t able to join us in the service yesterday, here is the wonderful video we showed summarizing ministry in the Congo.
- Tom Cairns, who now serves as the archivist for the EFCA, writes a great memoir flowing out of his own time in the Congo.
- Lastly, Tim Challies writes a reflection on what missions activity can look like at home. He speaks specifically of his context in Canada, but his words apply equally to our Tri-State region as well.
