Stand! > Ephesians 6:10-13
6:10 You can stand. In our own strength, we will fail at faithful endurance in the Christian life. Yet, in God’s strength, we have all we need to stand firm!
6:11a You’ve been equipped to stand. Every Christian is given in Jesus, and by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, all that we need to be found faithful.
6:11b-12 You’ll need to stand. We stand not simply because we’re called to, but also because we must – every Christian is in the midst of a spiritual battle, one where we must have our Lord’s strength to protect us.
6:13 Receive and you will stand. The call is simple: pray and ask the Lord to provide what He has promised. We withstand the enemy well when we look to and trust our King.
The Point: The Christian life happens on the battlefield, therefore, we need what Jesus alone can provide and accomplish if we are to be found faithful.
Prayer: Lord, we need your help every day of our lives! We want to be found faithful, we want to enter into your joy, and we thank you that this is what you promise. Provide for us, protect us, equip us, so that we would be faithful disciples throughout life until we reach our promised heavenly home.
Application: Ask the Lord to provide what He has promised – and to grow your faith that you’d believe that He will do all that He has said.
