I’ve often been frustrated that many published timelines of the Bible seem to focus only upon when the books of the Bible were written. That is helpful, sure, but it seems to miss the point that most often what we need – as those living in 2017 and far removed from Biblical events – is actually a timeline of what is happening during the events of the Scriptures themselves. Knowing when a book was written can be insightful, but often it would be more helpful to know when the events take place in that book and how those events relate to other Biblical books. To that end, here is one chart I’ve come across that attempts (in rough form) to do just that. (click for larger size and source)
