WYT: December 24, 2021

For our last installment of 2021, here are three reminders of our Savior – just in time for Christmas…

  1. Tim Challies gives a good reminder during this Christmas season – Never Forget Where You Came From: “…This man understood a universal temptation—the temptation to forget our blessings and to forget the God who has so graciously dispensed them to us. And this is exactly why Christmas is so needful and so precious, for at Christmas we pause to deliberately remember. We pause for a day to remember the greatest of all blessings—the advent of Jesus Christ.” Read the rest here.
  2. It’s far too easy to lose sight of what Christmas is all about. I’m grateful to Kraig Keck for this reminder: “Your biggest need was not financial. Your biggest need was not relational. Your biggest need was not emotional. Your biggest need was not health. Your biggest need was your estrangement from God because of your sin. And the birth of Jesus took care of that (Luke 2:10-11). Jesus came so that He could die as the perfect sacrifice for our sin. The Bible tells us that all people are sinners and that their sin separates them from God.” Read and be encouraged here.
  3. And finally, in an article about humility, Mark Loughridge reminds us of our gracious and merciful Savior.

Merry Christmas!
