  1. Just in time for Valentine’s Day, a good question answered well by Tim Challies: how is it that marriage helps us to grow in holiness? “So perhaps the foremost way that marriage has helped make us holy is not so much in calling each of us to serve as the other’s second conscience, a junior assistant to the Holy Spirit in bringing conviction of sin. …Rather, marriage has helped make us holy by calling each of us to extend a kind of divine mercy toward the other—to simply live lovingly with someone who is prone to be sinful and just plain hard to live with.”
  2. Speaking of a different kind of commitment – one that marriage is intended to highlight, Adam Nesmith writes about what commitment to a real, flawed, Christ-pursuing local church looks like.
  3. As we come closer to Easter, I’m working through the end of Luke’s gospel in sermon preparation. Brian Tabb’s article on seeing Christ in the Old Testament out of Luke 24 is helpful for everyone – take a look…

We are a member church of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
