Tim Challies is a Canadian Christian who serves as an elder, author, and long-time blogger. He’s well known for being one of the most steady, level-headed, and consistent voices when it comes to having a faithful internet presence, and has been posting daily since 2003. I’ve shared a number of articles he’s written in the past, and thought today would be an opportune time to point out three in particular that I’ve found quite helpful.

  1. Our Lord provides all that is necessary for a Christian to be faithful. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. But in Him, we are given all we need. Tim writes a wonderful reflection on this titled “The Parable of the Acorn”…
  2. Thinking through the effect of sin on who we were created to be, Tim compares us to two castles: one spectacular, the other ruined. Yet, even in the ruined castle, there is hope to be found…
  3. One of the refreshing parts of Tim’s writing is that he isn’t afraid to point to others (rather than only promoting his own work) and that he also has an interest in poetry and music. One of his more recent entries along these lines is about an old poem, titled “When I Get to the End of the Way”…

We are a member church of the Evangelical Free Church of America.
